Caden Clark Sports Card Investment Report

Our Investing Thesis

The hobby is huge. There is a ton of temptation and FOMO. It's easy to become undisciplined and sloppy in pursuit of making money investing in sports cards.

Our sports card investing thesis is three fold.

1. Don't Chase. The way to make money investing in Sports Cards is NOT to chase the hot players or cards, but to have the ability to identify the NEXT hottest player BEFORE their card prices take off.

2. Stay In The Game. Since each player has a countless amount of cards, it's necessary to stay disciplined in identifying and purchasing cards that will have the ability to rise in value. Go Low / Mid Risk as much as possible. Everyone wants the big names. If the price is already high, then the upside is already baked in. Buy the dip on either the card, the player or both. Have reasonable expectations. Not every card will yield a profit, but overall, if you stay in the game, you should make 20% over the long haul.

3. Be Set Up To Sell. The most overlooked part of profiting in sports card investing is actually being set up to sell your cards. This includes acquiring cards that are frequently transacted, so as to instill confidence in your future buyer by being able to show consistent sales comps. We're not saying not to acquire short prints and variations, but if you're looking to make an ROI quickly, these aren't always the best cards.

There are two windows. The long term window and the flippable window. The long term window is when you believe a player has a season or more of relevant potential "moments" ahead. The flippable window is when a player actually never has to perform well on the field or court, but only has to generate enough "hype" to see an increase in card value.

We know that our background of professional sports front office work and player scouting, high stakes fantasy sports expertise, digital content creation and sales will make our Sports Card Investment Report a critical piece in your pursuit of positive ROI on your Sports Card Investments.

Caden Clark

The Reward

In a recent episode of the Sports Card Strategy Show, co-host Kendall McKee and I uncovered why Caden Clark should be one of the top soccer players you invest in.

Our love affair with young Caden is still at an all-time high, in spite of his recent knee injury. According to Fox Sports/Rotowire, he should return to full team training next week.

He first signed when he was 14 years old, with the Minnesota Thunder, then left for Barca Academy, where he spent three years, then signed with the New York Red Bulls of the MLS in February 2020.

He signed a 3 million Euro contract with RB Leipzig of Bundesliga, who has loaned him out to the NY Red Bulls on occasion.

In short, the dude has gone back and forth from the MLS to one of the World's top leagues and is still only 18 years old.

He's also a member of the US Men's National Team, and as an attacking midfielder, has scored an average of 0.5 goals per game in his major appearances.

In three MLS appearances he has one goal and one assist, and in two appearances for the USMNT he has one goal.

So, not only does Clark fit the profile of a future World Soccer star/stud in the making, but he also has legit rookie cards in the 2021 Topps Chrome MLS set ... and now is the time to buy!

Last Game:

Scores as substitute on August 27, 2022
Clark scored a goal with his lone shot while crossing once inaccurately during Saturday's 3-1 win over Miami.
ANALYSIS: Clark entered the match in the 69th minute and scored the game's final goal in the 74th. The goal was the first of the season for the midfielder as he made the most of his time on the pitch.
This is a great sign for his injured hamstring that kept him out since the Spring.

Prices on his banger cards are super affordable. Upgrade here to read the cards to buy below.

The Risk

Clark is a goal scorer, and low-key on track to be a star for the 2026 USMNT in the World Cup in North America. He also will end up in Bundesliga sooner rather than later. The UEFA Champions League appearances will cause his card prices to rise.

There's not much downside to Clark's cards right now. I see him as probably the best sleeper play in sports cards today.
