Panini America releases first WNBA trading cards featuring Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese & more
The News:
Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, has just released the first official WNBA trading cards featuring stars from the 2024 draft class, including Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, Kamilla Cardoso, Angel Reese and more. The collection, which features multiple variations of cards for each player, is already available online (linked here) for fans eager to collect the first commemorative pieces of their pro careers.
The Panini Instant collection exists to highlight milestones and achievements in real time so fans don’t have to wait months (or even seasons) to capture their favorite moments—like the WNBA Draft!
- Cards in this specific set are available until Tuesday, May 7 at 3:00 p.m. ET (or while supplies last for the numbered variations).
- Price ranges from $9.99 and up, depending on the variation of the card.
- Card(s) shipped within 15-20 business days after the ordering window expires.
OUR TAKE:
Make no mistake, there is likely to be a print run of 20k plus on the base cards, which are the only Clark cards available, other than her Jaguar /10, which I don't recommend paying $900 for.
This means that if you want to make money on these Panini Instant base cards for Clark, you have to immediately send them to PSA, then immediately list them in auctions as soon as you receive them from PSA. Oh yeah, and hope for a much better Gem Rate than the Wemby Instant in late 2023.
Only PSA 10s will sell for a profit, so you'd need to get at least a 70% Gem Rate on your order to profit.
As far as Reese's cards go, there are still some autos available, but I believe they're priced too high to flip for profit.
