We answer these questions and more...

Ask the grader question: how much weight is put on the front of the card vs. the back of the card?

Just got several (about 25, pic is of 9s and 10s) Skenes and Elly’s back from PSA (cards from raw-to-grade formula) Was pretty lucky with the gem rate on Skenes (less so w/ Elly). I know there’s no selling market for raw-to- grade necessary, but I was just wondering if I should list now in the off season or hold till next season hype?

I wanted to get your opinion on a recent purchase. I bought 2 of the Caitlin Clark Panini instant Jungle /25 #268 First All WNBA team cards. I have seen some recent sales of other /25 Jungle cards that have sold for much less than I expected. I definitely succumbed to some FOMO, but I also wanted to get into some short printed Caitlin Clark. At a $299 per card cost, was this a mistake or do I have a shot of making a profit?

I picked this up for $150., any idea of the variant, I checked market movers and there is a ‘choice’ with out the sig. is this a choice signature??

Panini Instant PSA 10 Presale?
Greetings, I have seen a few eBay shops doing this on a variety of panini instants and I am curious if it’s a worth while play. I feel it’s a bit risky as you are trying to set the market before it exists and could potential miss the mark for a loss. I am trying it on a ccroy card (for 2) more so hoping to get a lot of watchers so I can already have potential buyers lined up when cards come back from psa.

I recently pulled a Puka Nacua Field Level snakeskin 1/2 from 2023 Select Football. I'm definitely not an advocate of opening wax, but I will admit I occasionally do it for fun. The card has a couple of very noticeable print lines on it. I did submit a QC/redemption report to Panini just to see what happens, but it was denied due to minimal damage.

This card's counterpart (the 2/2 as a PSA 10) is on auction now and it looks like it will hit $1500 or more. Also, Nacua is back from IR and looking good after a win over the Vikings which I'm sure will help his value. I have a couple of question:

How much do print lines affect the grade of a card and should I bother grading this?
Is a rare card like this a hold or sell with a performance spike?
Other thoughts on Nacua cards overall?

Not sure if this is a podcast worthy question but I am having difficulty finding a comp on a very odd card I purchased many years ago.

It is a: 1979 Los Angeles Dodgers Go Dodger Blue! Stadium Giveaway Dusty Baker #12 PSA 10

Shohei Ohtani 2018 Bowman Chrome Rookie #1
Bought for $270 Raw
Here is the card.
Should i get it graded or sell Raw?
It does not look perfectly center, expecting a 9
Also timeline: Should i sell after World Series or MVP announcement?
Or hold for Spring?
In general for my other Shohei Ohtani cards 2018 Bowman #49 PSA 10 and 2018 Topps Chrome #150 PSA 10. Since its becoming a buyers market do, I wait? I also have 7 2018 Bowman #49 that im about to send to get graded that I bought for $18.70.
Thanks for all your help. Im a new member and loving it.

Regarding these Panini Instant presale parallels, is it best to hold onto them and wait for a performance spike with these rookies? I currently have them listed on eBay as "Buy It Now" or "Best Offer." Should I consider removing them from the market? (Listed for 2-3x my purchase price, not much action.)

Rome Odunze - 2024 Panini Instant Rookie #48 Blue Viper /1 Century Mark
Impulse purchase from Panini at a total of $436.99.
I do beleive he will be Caleb's No:1 option, but it may not be this year. Im not agains waiting and making this a longer play. What are your thoughts. Also once I receive it, would you recommend getting it graded or selling it raw?

Brian Thomas Jr - 2024 Panini Instant #72 AUTO /99
Purchased from Panini for $49.99.
After receiving it, should I get it graded or sell it raw?

Assuming no one clicks the buy it now on the presale listings. With these parallels, would holding them for a performance spike be wise given their scarcity, or should I list them immediately?

Thanks for the great new features. I have a couple questions for you or the grader. Do they keep track of SP cards at their company? Does this information get shared with other graders? Is there a certain print run that they keep track of. For example if I crack an out of 10 or 50 or 199 card and submit do they know it’s been submitted before? Do the grading companies share notes, etc…? Appreciate the feedback

Hey Paul, first off - I really appreciated the 2024 review episode. It puts in perspective these plays and bets we're taking - acknowledging what didn't work is key to credibility in my opinion - and something virtually no other content creators show. 13% aint bad for sure, as you mention. I appreciate the openness - here's to 50% returns in 2025.

And MUCH MUCH MORE!
