Strong NFL Performers and Overachievers:
Per usual, weekly NFL outcomes have driven specific players and their sports cards into our radar as sell now opportunities, and we’ll elaborate on each of them below. Each of the names you’ll see will apply as sells if you have any of their rookie cards:
1. Baker Mayfield:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the bigger surprises of the 2023-24 NFL season, starting off 3-1 and currently sitting 1st in the NFC South. Baker Mayfield’s strong campaign as the play caller for Tampa Bay can likely be attributed as a large factor to the hot start, with Mayfield posting just under 900 passing yards and 8 touchdowns compared to just 1 interception through his first 4 outings. He’s also posted a passer rating of 101.5, which is good for 8th in the league at this point. All of these events have led to Baker being a strong sell-now opportunity for any investor holding onto his rookie prints, as we expect his numbers to be hindered as the season goes on and Mayfield faces more top passing defenses.
