My favorite thing about the sports card hobby is making plays. Specifically, finding a card, group of cards or any product with potential to be sold at a higher price than you can buy it for, and go over it.
One play I tried is PSA's Crossover Grading service. Knowing that when cards are graded in PSA Slabs, their resale value is significantly higher than other grading companies, I spotted five vintage Michael Jordan cards that were being sold for super low prices several months ago in lower tier grading company slabs.
I purchased all five of them, and submitted to PSA for Crossover Grading.
The first was a bust, the 1990 Michael Jordan Skybox - click here to find out why - https://nooffseason.com/psa-cross-grading-horror-story-why-low-end-sports-card-grading-companies-are-dangerous/
But the 2nd through 5th cards just came back from PSA in new slabs baby!
