The Cincinnati Reds currently sit just two games behind the Milwaukee Brewers for first place in the NL Central, a feat that can be strongly credited to their initiative to prioritize prospect development and establish a strong nucleus of youthful core players. The Reds have continued this trend with their August 19th callup of Noelvi Marte. Marte, a smooth swinging infielder that was transferred to the Reds organization via Mariners deal involving Luis Castillo, adds a wide frame to pair with Elly De La Cruz on the left side of the infield assuming he’s able to land a spot in the lineup.
