Sports Card Strategy: Card Show To Starstock and eBay Flipping

Heading out of my first ever card show, I learned a ton!

I was determined heading into my second card show, to enter with a clear budget range, and acquire desirable and re-sellable products for a price that offered profit margin.

You've probably seen many other YouTube videos and other content in the sports card space preaching the importance of having a plan.

This time, I had a plan. Knowing I was about to head back to Spain the following week, not having time to get any raw cards graded, I would look for only raw cards that Starstock would accept, or slabbed cards that I could send to my PWCC Vault.

I'm publishing this fresh off the shocking news that PWCC has been banned from eBay for alleged "shill bidding." So now the slabbed cards seen in this video that are now housed in my PWCC Vault will have to be sold on, Facebook Marketplace, my own eBay account, or social media - not via PWCC's eBay account, which was the original plan.

More on PWCC in future content. I don't plan to cover the news around PWCC, you can get that elsewhere. I plan to peel back the curtain of what it's actually like to go through this as a PWCC customer. More to come.

Anyway, back to the cards I acquired at the Nashville Card Show. I believe all of the cards shown in this video will allow for a profit margin. I did this by approaching booths, asking prices, saying thanks - walking away, and returning later with my own data on eBay comps, and negotiating.

It didn't hurt that it was the end of the day, and the dealers kind of wanted to move inventory and get out of there!

It's all about having a budget, a plan for what you're doing to do with your cards, friendliness, knowledge (from eBay comps), and patience!
