How to Profit Buying The Dip: 10 Cards to Target!
Contributed by Chad Guell What happens every year in the NFL when reality meets expectations? People overreact and card prices dip. It happens every year! The key is waiting until it happens and then guessing correctly on which is an overreaction and which is the new reality! There is risk involved in buying into a mid-season dip, however where there is risk, there is also great reward! I am going to give you my predictions as to which cards to buy the dip and profit on! Do I think that the Bears are going to get things turned around this year? No, I don’t. I think the Bears are a bottom third team in the NFL this year. However, being bad means that you are playing from behind often, and that typically lends a hand to the star players on that team getting tons of opportunities to produce. The last half of last year Fields…
How To Turn 82 Yards into Hundreds of Dollars!
Contributed by Chad Guell If you are a football fan and or a sports card collector, you know that week 1 was an absolute disaster for Joe Burrow and the Bengals. One of the most popular QB’s in the hobby throwing for less than 100 yards and getting blown out by your cross state bitter rival Cleveland Browns was an embarrassment to the city of Cincinnati. Everyone knows that one week doesn’t not define a player or a team. Especially week one after your star QB hasn’t practiced or played with the team in 5 weeks due to a leg injury. The outcome was almost predictable. The Bengals are known for starting seasons slow or poorly, so his card prices weren’t affected by this performance. Right? WRONG!!! It is like the entire card hobby forgot who Joe Burrow is and that he is still a top 5 QB in the league! Let’s take a look…
Sports Card Sell Alert: Trey Lance Traded To Dallas
Contributed by Conner Barnett Selected third overall by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2021 NFL draft, Trey Lance entered the league as a promising dual threat quarterback with a cannon of an arm. Lance began his career as a backup to 49ers starter Jimmy Garoppolo, but was quickly thrown into action in week 4 of the 2021 season after Jimmy G was sidelined to injury. Unfortunately Lance was also moved to the injury report with a knee sprain, and didn’t see the field again for several weeks. Lance was named the team’s starter going into the 2022 season, but was yet again forced off the field with a season-ending ankle injury. While optimism is still present for the relatively inexperienced young quarterback, the 49ers have decided to go in a new direction, trading Lance to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 4th round pick. If you’re a sports card investor holding Lance…

We’re getting some amazing audience questions from our Facebook Group (quick link at sportscardstrategy.com). Recently we had a question about why Justin Herbert outsells Joe Burrow by so much. This isn’t necessarily true in all cases. For example, Burrow’s “lower end cards” still outsell Herbert’s, while Herbert’s higher end cards blow away Burrow’s prices. The…
