We answered questions today from: Robert Paul Terri Chris Jared Frank Mark Andrew Chris (3x) Kyle Anthony Andrew Mark Jason Ian Jeremiah Adelle Adrian T. We answer these questions and more… I have 2 1997 Bowman Best cards Kobe (R23) and Payton (BC19), I sent to PSA to grade, and they came back with “MINSIZERQ” stickers ungraded. Am I wasting my time trying to grade them again? I bought 2 packs (25 cards each) of the Caitlin Clark – 2024 Panini Instant WNBA #CCROY card. Are you still planning on grading these? Do you think now is a good time to buy some Michael Jordan cards as an investment? Thanks for the advice on the Cam Thomas Select FOTL RPA the other week. Should I grade it and try to sell, then get into a raw (to grade) Wemby…
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. Today we’re going to touch on questions from: Chris Cyrus Tim Marc S. Leo Robert Chris Noah Derek Andrew Josue Scott Terry Joey Daniel Drew We answer these questions and more… How much fun is it grading die-cut cards? Why do they go for so much less, when it seems to be a much more difficult card to grade? How is the centering evaluated with cards that don’t have an obvious frame. With this card I suspect the name plate centring is used to determine left to right but how is the top/bottom calculated? My question pertains to new(ish) released cards that show up on the raw to grade rankings. For the purpose of this question I will use the Wemby Topps chrome play. When I first saw this card on the raw to grade rankings, it was selling…
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. We answer these questions and more… Hey guys, want to have a convo regarding Walker Jenkins. He’s a #2 ranked prospect on baseballs’ too 100 prospects list. He plays a premium position (centerfield). I’ve purchase some cards of his and got one back from PSA as a 10. It’s a Bowman base Chrome 1st. I have it listed in my store for $45.99 Buy it now. Right now, after having it listed for a month, it has got 1 view. Is this just a situation where he’s still too far from his MLB debut date and it won’t be until maybe Spring of 2026 where the interest really increases? Hey guys, please have dialogue on Victor Wembanyama. He’s continuing to perform at a high level and proving that he’s worthy of the hype, however, I just saw a PSA…
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. We answer these questions and more… I was checking out Topps now cards out of boredom and long story short ended up buying a grenade of the Paul Skenes Rookie of the years topps now cards. My thought process was Rookie card, in demand player and by the time I get them and get them graded it’ll be close to spring training (hypothetically) in your opinions was there a play here? If it’s an L I’ll chalk it up to learning no harm no foul. Second question. Up here in Canada we are kind of held hostage by the federally run postal system that is now on strike. Do you have any tips on what us Canadians can do while we wait for it to resolve? Currently anything bought on eBay is stuck once it gets to the border…
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. We answer these questions and more… Just got my Jalen Milroe /99 auto in. Do you recommend grading? Or straight to market? Where do you find the best pricing for card supplies? Top loaders, penny sleeves and mags. I received a 2023 select football XRC Xavier Worthy card. A couple questions…. 1. Im trying to decide whether to grade it and would like your opinion. The PSA 9 is pop 5 and there are none higher. Getting a PSA 10 I imagine would really increase the value since it will be such a low pop. The most recent sales are raw $91 11/12 PSA 9 $146 11/1 2. It seems the panini seal on the card puts a premium on the card by itself. In general, do you think it make sense from a value point of view to…
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. We answer these questions and more… Thanks for the great new features. I have a couple questions for you or the grader. Do they keep track of SP cards at their company? Does this information get shared with other graders? Is there a certain print run that they keep track of. For example if I crack an out of 10 or 50 or 199 card and submit do they know it’s been submitted before? Do the grading companies share notes, etc…? Appreciate the feedback What tools are used in the grading process of a sports card? Microscopes or other magnification tools? Black light? Computer scanning? WHAT TOOLS DO GRADERS USE? When ordering Topps Now cards, does ordering more cards increase your odds of getting a parallel or an auto? What should I make of the threatening email from PSA…
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. We answer these questions and more… When ordering Topps Now cards, does ordering more cards increase your odds of getting a parallel or an auto? I ask this because I heard that Topps sends out the parallels/autos to random addresses and it is not based on the number in the print run or how many you order. For example, if you order one Topps Now Football #11 of Jayden Daniels, you will have the same odds of getting an auto or parallel as someone who orders ten (assuming all ten cards are part of one order that is going to the same address). Is this correct and if not, can you clear this up? What would be the top five prospects in the MLB to buy in the offseason and when is a good time to buy them? Have…
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. We answer these questions and more… Ask the grader question: how much weight is put on the front of the card vs. the back of the card? Just got several (about 25, pic is of 9s and 10s) Skenes and Elly’s back from PSA (cards from raw-to-grade formula) Was pretty lucky with the gem rate on Skenes (less so w/ Elly). I know there’s no selling market for raw-to- grade necessary, but I was just wondering if I should list now in the off season or hold till next season hype? I wanted to get your opinion on a recent purchase. I bought 2 of the Caitlin Clark Panini instant Jungle /25 #268 First All WNBA team cards. I have seen some recent sales of other /25 Jungle cards that have sold for much less than I expected. I…
What To Look Out For When Buying Raw To Grade & How To Use The Formula Premium Pod, October 25, 2024
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. We answer these questions and more… What do you guys think of the jumbo 5×7 downtowns released recently? Any play here? I don’t think so but interested in your take. I have a couple of questions for you today. The first one I want to start with is this Costco 2024 Donruss release. Why is Panini releasing these to such a large distributer? Also they are giving a jumbo downtown in everybox? People are buying these and reselling them at crazy prices. Have we hit yet another junk wax era? If so how can we avoid this just like the 90’s. Question #2 I recently bought a Tyrese Haliburton 2020 Optic #162 Purple Rookie. It looks really clean and centered. Is it worth getting graded? Is there any strategies for those wrong cards such as Anthony Richardson RCs but…
Is Paige Really The Next Caitlin? What Should You Do With Arch Manning? Premium Pod October 18, 2024
In this episode of The Premium Pod, we help premium members make money flipping sports cards. We answer these questions and more… I have a wemby rookie of the year topps now 1/10 auto. If I sent that card in to you for grading what’s the process…. I k ow I don’t have to prep the card you will do that for me. I know it’s $25. But a card like this is worth a lot. So how do you let me know the price for this card to grade. And would it ne a faster turnaround time since the price of the card will be around $4,000/$5,000 before grading. Looking forward to the NFL Draft and grabbing a few Bowman 1st autos for some key players or at least most likely first round picks at QB or WR. What is the strategy on these since they are in college uniforms? When do you sell-…
