Did I Buy The Right Sports Card? Darius Garland Non Licensed Rookie Auto – Sports Card Investing
Every once in a while, a top rookie in a particular sport, will sign an exclusive autograph deal with one sports card company only. Often times, the exclusive deal will be with a card company that doesn't own the league or players association license of that particular athlete's league.
Guys like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Miles Bridges and Darius Garland all have Upper Deck Exclusive Autograph Deals.
What does this mean for Garland's cards? Well, you won't find any traditional Panini licensed autos at all. No RPAs, no rookie autos of any kind, no NT autos, etc.
Given that Garland is one of the hottest young stars in the NBA, I thought it would be a good idea to invest in his Upper Deck Goodwin Champions Rookie Auto, graded in SGC 10 / Auto 10.
